Orara (North Coast Steam)
Requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy in 1939 as a minesweeping flotilla leader, Orara was involved in survivor rescues late in 1940: on 7 November, near the sinking of the Cambridge off South East Point, New South Wales and on 5 December from the Nimbin off Coffs Harbour, New South Wales.

Nambucca (North Coast Steam)
Initially requisitioned on 10 January 1940 for minesweeping duties, in 1942 Nambucca was taken over by the United States Army Small Ships Section as a Supply Vessel. She was lost by fire in 1945 while still with Small Ships.

Nimbin (North Coast Steam)
Nimbin became a casualty early in the war, lost to German-laid mines on 5 December 1940 when off Coffs Harbour, with seven crew members killed. Thirteen survivors were rescued by Orara, a ship of the same company.

Requisitioned into the United States Army Small Ships Section early in 1942, Melinga’s role was that of Supply Vessel.

Gunbar (North Coast Steam)
Requisitioned by the Royal Australian Navy late in 1940, Gunbar operated as a Minesweeper
